The Classic Marathon of the previous Sunday was special because it marked 2500 years after the Marathon Battle and the delivery of the "Victory" message in the city of Athens. Two hours after the first had finished,in the 28th km (of 42) the road was full of runners.



So the next day , with the sun shining I decided to take the Urban Growlerilla (my beloved Super Duke) for a ride to the burial site of those who died fighting in the battle.


As a tribute to the runners' athletic spirit maybe I should have tried it on my bicycle.
