In case you wanted to really "cut through" traffic you might thought of something heavilly modified. There are no details available (eg. its purpose) but as it seems someone was thinking of a Solex in a wrong way..

The Harley-Davidson motorcycle that crossed the Pacific Ocean on a container, after been swept by the tsunami, will not return to Japan. Ikuo Yokoyama, its owner, refused to be treated differently, since there are Japanese citizens in greater need than him. The 2004 Harley-Davidson FXSTB Softail Night Train will be displayed, unrestored, in the Harley-Davidson Museum, as a memorial to the 15,000+ people who lost their lives in the earthquake, tsunami, and nuclear disaster in Japan.

Five thousand kilometers in a year are not much for a motorcycle. This particular Harley-Davidson though looks pretty worn out from crossing the Pacific ocean in -almost- 14 months.
As the CBC broadcasted, a resident of the British Columbia coast found a Harley-Davidson, marked by salt corrosion, inside a container. It was later found out that the motorcycle had crossed the Pacific ocean, starting its journey from the town of Yamamoto, Japan. The motorcycle was pulled in the sea by the tsunami that followed the earthquake, in the 11th of March 2011. An ocean current moved the container from Japan to the canadian coast.
The owner of the motorcycle was located by its VIN, he has lost three members of his family and his house in the tragedy. He was parking his motorcycle inside the container and when the tsunami destroyed the house, sucked the container. The Harley-Davidson company arranged the bike to be transported back to Japan, in order to be returned to the owner, after its restoration there.

Their life was maybe easier this year, due to the weather conditions, but the life of a superbike tyre in Monza is never easy. In the end of the start/finish straight the thermal stress is five times greater than anywhere in the other championship tracks. And it is not just the braking, it is the cornering, too. To find out where, how much and for lots of other information watch the preceding video.
