Leaving the year with a post to provide inspiration for the new one. A post about history, triumph and chilling sounds.The following video is a presentation of a MV Agusta America. This particular bike is part of Jay Leno's collection.
As you will listen to in the video this model was very expensive in its time, which is a way to explain why you -probably- haven't seen one on the road. You will also listen to a story, although it is not verified, why the success of the firm in the road races was not met by great production four cylinder motorcycles.
Furthermore, you will listen to something around the 4:54 mark, that will lead you to press "replay", again and again..

Η τελευταία ανάρτηση της χρονιάς είναι επιλεγμένη για να προσφέρει έμπνευση για τη νέα. Μια ανάρτηση με ιστορία, θριάμβους και ήχους που προκαλούν ανατριχίλα. Το ανωτέρω βίντεο είνα μια παρουσίαση της MV Agusta America. Η συγκεκριμένη μοτοσυκλέτα ανήκει στη συλλογή του Jay Leno.
Όπως θα ακούσετε και στο βίντεο η μοτοσυκλέτα αυτή ήταν πανακριβη στην εποχή της, γεγονός που αποτελεί επαρκή εξήγηση για το ότι -πιθανότατα- δεν έχετε δει κάποια να κυκλοφορεί στο δρόμο. Θα ακούσετε επίσης μια ιστορία, αν και όχι εξακριβωμένη, γιατί η επιτυχία της εταιρείας στους αγώνες δεν συνοδεύτηκε από επιτυχημένες τετρακύλινδρες παραγωγής.
Επιπλέον, θα ακούσετε κάτι κοντά στο σημείο 4:54 που θα σας οδηγήσει να πατήσετε την "επανάληψη", ξανά και ξανά...

Αν εξαιρέσεις το υπο κλίμακα μοντελο μιας Norton Commando 961, το οποίο ήταν διαθέσιμο προς πώληση στο κατάστημα του μουσείου, το Ελληνικό Μουσείο Αυτοκινήτου δεν έχει κάποια άλλη σχέση με τις μοτοσυκλέτες. Διαβάζεις όμως για αυτό στο -μονοδιάστατο - Spyridonta γιατί προάγει την ιδέα της μηχανοκίνησης. Η σχετική νοοτροπία μας μπορεί να είναι σε αναπτυσσόμενο στάδιο, αλλά εκεί συνάντησα μια σχολική εκδρομή, μπαμπάδες που έφεραν τους γιούς αλλά και δυο κυρίες που αγαπούσαν τόσο πολύ τους συντρόφους τους, ώστε να τους συνοδέψουν σε τρεις ορόφους με ρόδες. Οι καλογυαλίσμένες καμπύλες των αυτοκινήτων μπορεί να τους κέντρισαν το ενδιαφέρον, αλλά αν τους διηγηθείς τη ρομαντική ιστορία του Spirit of Ecstasy μπροστά στην επιβλητική μάσκα της Rolls Royce η επίσκεψη θα γίνει εμπειρία.
Besides a Norton Commando 961 scale model in the gift shop, the Hellenic Motor Museum has nothing else to do with motorcycles. So why are you reading about it in a -strictly - motorcycle blog? Because it promotes the motor culture and people care about it.
During the three and a half hours I spent there I shared the experience with a school visit, fathers and sons, and two ladies loving their companions so much to escort them to three stories of wheels. They possibly found the polished car's curves interesting, but if your other half escorts you, tell her the romantic story of the Spirit of Ecstasy under the Rolls Royce grill.

Είναι πολύ αργά για ευχές; Ελπίζω όχι. Αν σκεφτείς ότι οι διάφοροι σύλλογοι κόβουν πίτες έως το Μάρτιο δεν είναι πολύ αργά.
Επίσης δεν είναι και νωρίς αν θέλεις να προετοιμαστείς για να βοηθήσεις τον Αη-Βασίλη. Με βάση αυτά τα στοιχεία, ακόμη και με τη διαφορά της ώρας είναι δύσκολο να μοιράσει όλα αυτά τα παιχνίδια (τα στοιχεία βέβαια αφορούν τον Santa Claus, αλλά και για τον Αη-Βασίλη δεν είναι ευκολη η κατάσταση).
Εφόσον ταχυμεταφορές και δίκυκλα πάνε μαζί θα χρειαστείς και την ανάλογη αμφίεση. Είτε αποφασίσεις να την φτιάξεις είτε να την αγοράσεις.

Is it too late for “Happy New Year” wishes? I hope not. Certainly it is not too early to start preparing to help Santa Claus. Considering this analysis, it is quite a project to deliver all those presents even if you take into account the different time zones and the fact that the orthodox kids get their presents in the 1st of January, delivered by the Ayios Vasilis.

A new post category. It has the label "The Week" and it is about five posts with a theme, one for each day of the week Monday to Friday. Ι plan to write one "The Week" per month. First is "The classic Vespa Week".
